Second Year - Constructionarium Fieldcourse
At the end of my second year I took the opportunity to embark on The Constructionarium at the Bircham Newton National Construction College; a hands-on construction experience that gives students the chance to learn practically and make links with the industry. The format of the course took students from Leeds University and partnered them employees from Arup and Sheppard Construction in order to build a scaled down version of a real life civil engineering project. Students are assessed in terms of budgeting, methodology and time keeping.
The project undertaken by my group was a 1:10 Scale Model of Naples Underground Station originally designed by Richard Rogers.
